The
Founder's
List
Twenty five people put their name on this brand before it was anything. Their names stay on it for as long as it exists. This is the only time that list is open.
A Number, Not a Membership
Chuck's is a Texas clothing and supply company built on the coast, the ranch, the river, and the belief that the water points back to the One who made it. It is small on purpose. It gives away ten percent of its profits on purpose. It is going to be here in twenty years on purpose.
The Founder's List is the record of who was standing here at the start.
Twenty five spots. One hundred dollars each. Numbered 001 through 025.
Number 001 is not for sale and never was. It belongs to Chuck Costanza, the man the company is named for. The list opens at 002.
You are not buying a discount club. You are buying a permanent line in the record of a company, and the line has your number on it.
"Chuck's doesn't chase the obvious."

Small Is the Point
This list started at one hundred. It got cut to twenty five, and the number came down for a reason that matters.
One hundred names is a mailing list. Twenty five names is a group of people who can all fit around a fire. At twenty five, a Founder is someone Ben can call by name and remember what they do for a living. At one hundred, a Founder is a row in a spreadsheet.
The scarcity is not a marketing tactic. It is the product.
A permanent place in a company's record is only worth something if the record is short.
The promise, in writing. When the twenty fifth spot is claimed, the Founder's List closes permanently. There will be no second batch, no Founder II, no higher priced reopening in a better year. Ben has put this in writing to his own future self so that when the temptation comes, and it will, the answer is already on paper.
What Your Hundred Does
Into the Work
- Print runs on the next drop, ordered in full instead of trimmed to what is affordable
- Fabric and blank upgrades on pieces meant to last
- Photography with the people who shoot this coast better than anyone
- The unglamorous back end: filings, software, and the boring things that keep a company legitimate
Tend & Keep 10%™
- Ten percent of profits are given away, across the board
- Half to coastal habitat, water, and conservation work
- Half to faith and community organizations
- Founders vote on which organization is added next
One Hundred Dollars, Once
Take a Number
Twenty four spots are open. When they are gone the list closes and it does not open again.
