Somewhere off the Land Cut, a B-25 Mitchell went down during a WWII training run. Six men. Shallow water. No memorial, no marker - just a vertical tail fin standing above the marsh for decades, used by guides and duck hunters to find their way through Nine Mile Hole.
The redfish didn't care. They tailed over the wings the same as they always had.
